  • Day 1: Aliens- Science or Fiction
  • Day 2: The Secret Formula of Life
  • Day 3: This Earth of Ours
  • Day 4: The Last Chance!

The National Environment Science Camp is a systematic four day effort to explore life in outer space and understand the unmatched importance of life on earth. To provide a holistic view, the program has been structured into four days of fun, adventure and discovery with unique themes everyday to help us comprehend the amazing science of Exo-Biology

Day 1: Aliens- Science or Fiction
As it gets dark, the Dudhwa sky is alit with countless stars that seem imminently approachable; one feels as though one could actually reach for the stars. The mind too wanders into the world of ideas wondering whether there is life out there! Whether there are people as inquisitive about us as we are of them! And that is how begins our adventure to find out more about ‘Life beyond Earth’, ‘Aliens’ as they are called in popular parlance. On the first day we try to find whether ‘Aliens’ are real or a figment of our imagination.

Day 2: The Secret Formula of Life
Excitedly aware that we are not alone in the universe and man is certainly not a master of the universe, we come to respect the phenomenon of life; its advent, its rarity and its complexity. So, the second day of the camp we deduce the secret formula of life. We come to understand the fundamentals, the origins and importance of life. It is a day of the scientist and for the scientist. It is the day of experimentation and action.

Day 3: This Earth of Ours
On the third day of the Camp, having stridden unfathomable distances measurable in light-years, we are back home on ‘This Earth of Ours’, this paradise, wiser and humbler. We look upon the planet differently. It is not just a place meant for our amusement or pleasure. It is our precious, incomparable Garden of Eden. Our attitude, our perception and experience is now vastly different. We want to know, learn more and find out more about our home and all those with whom we share our planet. On this day, we get to realize the true meaning of: “All things bright and beautiful/All things great and small/ All things wise and wonderful/The lord god made them all”

Day 4: The Last Chance
We live in one of the most difficult times. Global warming, de-forestation, over-population and other man-made catastrophes have not just endangered the very existence of thousands of life-forms, even humans are not untouched by these disasters. We have reached a terrible stage of breakdown where the Earth has lost its ability to heal itself. There cannot be any further delay. It’s time for full throttled action by each and every individual. Let’s do our bit and respond to the fervent SOS from Mother Nature. This is our last chance.
